Hello, I have a Hanse 495 from 2013 in Connecticut, USA. My Shower Pump 2 (forward in the master cabin) has stopped working and I believe the fuse is blown. I cannot find the fuse anywhere. I am looking for the fuse to XB9.6.36.2, which I believe is 15A.
The Hanse 495 fuse diagram does not look like my fuse panel. The diagram shows 2 rows of fuses, and can easily find the XB9.6 fuses. My panel is one row and only has fuses up to XB9.5. I can't find XB9.6! See attached files and images. Has anyone had similar issues, or had to change fuses for shower pumps 2 - 6, or fuses to control the voltage of bow or stern thrusters? (those are all in the XB9.6 range...) Thank you! Greg |

Greg,
Our 575 Lower DC fuse board layout is like your PDF and has two layers of fuses at the top of the board. The fuse you rare hunting for is in the correct place on our boat according to the PDF. I can only think there is another board some where which has the missing fuses. We have had the fuse blow once for the forward sump pump (in 6 years of 24/7 liveaboard). plus one pump failed completely without blowing the fuse and the switch in the sump failed. We were actually give a standard float switch to fit when the standard fully encased - no moving parts switch failed. Our dealer said the original switches were often failing. So, I would check if the switch is working first and if is and there is power going to the pump then the fuse (where ever it is would seem to be OK). Secondly I would connect the pump directly to 12V and see if it works. If it doesn't the fault is in the pump. But ultimately you need to find those missing banks of fuses. Maybe a 495 owner can shed some light on the missing fuses. Good luck.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the ideas on what else could be malfunctioning. I hope to find the fuses, and hope to hear from Hanse or other 495 owners (would be interesting to see which fuse panel they have) but will check the other points of failure. Happy Cruising! Greg

Hi Wayne,
You were right! My problem was not the fuse, but was the pump itself. I replaced it today and everything is back working. One note is that it looks as though Hanse wired the toilets and the shower pumps on the same switch, and that could cause a problem going forward. (That is 6 pumps - in and out for two toilets, and two shower pumps.) At least now it is working, and I am a bit smarter. Happy sailing, Greg

Greg,
Good to hear you sorted your pump problem. Seems strange Hanse has wired all those pumps on the same switch? Each of our sump pumps has its' own fuse as does the pump for each of the electric toilets. Did you end up finding the fuse panel for these pumps. Sound like you are going to need to replace it at sometime with all those pumps possibly on one fuse.
