Hi Richard,
We bought in Scotland, relocating to SW England after 12-months. Don't miss the 700-miles weekend road journeys but very much miss West Coast sailing. Enjoy it while you can! Cheers.

Yes, we were hoping to keep her up there this year and enjoy the west coast but given the somewhat unknown situation we plan to bring her South as soon as we can now. Such a shame but hopefully we can head back up at some point in the future.

A quick update. Very happy so far. A list of niggles to fix and upgrades to sort (like any boat) but Mako is starting to stretch her legs locally here in the Solent. We've had a couple of cold nights onboard and several day sails and are getting up to speed. One pleasant discovery that I hadn't seen mentioned before is how relatively quiet she is below in a blow. Very little creaking so the epoxy layup and steel grid certainly do seem to provide a stiff hull. Bring on warmer weather now please! Picture at Newtown River, Isle of Wight.

Beautiful boat in a beautiful location. I can't recall seeing Newtown as empty as this. This is one of my favourite locations but it was always too crowded to get in last season.
Your paint job looks magnificent. Wishing you an enjoyable season exploring with Mako.

Many thanks. Newtown was almost empty. Our favourite Solent spot and the kids love the beach and resident seals. This was just after April 12th lock down ease and it was cold! Seems to keep the crowds away. We managed to get in for a couple of long hot weekends last year but it was seriously busy. Our old Delher 34 was easier to squeeze in drawing 0.5m less than Mako.
Enjoy the arrival of Primal, exciting!
