Hi Everyone,
Just purchased a 2000 Hanse 371 and expecting to take delivery of it in a few weeks. Insurance company insists on an electric high capacity automatic bilge pump and this one only has manual pumps. I've been told some came with electric bilge pumps from factory. Any recommendations for the best place to put one? Any chance there already exists wiring if it was a factory option? Regards, Michael |

Hi Michael,
Hanse installed on our 371 #32 (2001) a quite "tiny" electric bilge pump. Some years ago there was an article in the German magazine "Yacht" about how many liters of water per minute will flood the boat through which size of hole. I don't remember the figures, but it was incredible how many water comes already through a half inch hole per minute. So I installed a large second pump. The deepest point in the bilge is between toilet and pantry locker (with sink). BR, Rainer
