Hi...A long time prior I fitted one of these to a 10mm board with knife length to save - I figure it would accomplish for perhaps 12 - 13 mm max. This was purchased in a chandlers yet be careful: there are in any event 2 sorts made and I have another with a more limited knife that wouldn't do.

Another thought, in the event that you need a flip switch however there isn't space to get a switch into the rear of the board: a reasonably huge level carpentry bit, ideally in a hand prepare for control, could be utilized to eliminate thickness prior to penetrating the fixing opening.
