Looking to add a few bits and pieces to the B&G system on Ventus and trying to understand how Hanse installed B&G network is laid out. Does anyone know how the B&G network is configured? In particular what is the function of the Czone bridge and why are there 5 ethernet cables going to my NEP-2 router?
The Czone bridge seems to connect two parts of the NMEA network, why is that? Why did Hanse think it was necessary to have a Czone bridge in the midle. The NEP-2 router connects my WIFI-1, Radar, and plotter but where do the other two ethernet cables go? Anyone any thoughts? Harold Ventus 415/#314 Boston |

HI All:
I found the attached wiring diagram of the B&G equipment, unfortunately it does not show the Cbridge that seems to be installed on Ventus and it only explains 3 of 5 network cables going into the hub which were the ones I could already explain. One thought, I don't have Sirius audio, but could it be the network cable for this is pre-installed? I noticed that the two mystery network cables don't seem to carry any data. At least the lights on the hub never seems to be flashing as far as I can tell. For anyone with Sirius audio option, where is it installed? Does the sirius receiver use a network cable? Any guesses what the 5th network cable might be for or where it might be going?
