Hello dear Hanse Friends,

I am in the moment sailing in Croatia. The lever of the Allpa throttle does not move very well. I must use a lot of force. When I press the red knob, then it moves easily. Is there a possibility to lubricate the system? Or what can I do?
(I have some problems to find the correct terms, I hope you will understand my problem)

Greetings Axel

Pressing the red knob aktivates the free Wheel Modus. That means the Problem is within the gear train.

It may be that the cable needs lubrication, or that the saildrive gear selector is not working properly.  You can lube the mechanism from the back, inside the locker.  Check the connection at the saildrive and the engine throttle.

This morning, when I got the anchor up, I found out that I could not get the gear in. The transmission was broken. The anchor went fast down again, in order not to shift to the shore. Now I found the reason. At the lever at the gearbox is a small device to hold the transmission cable. It must turn easily. Mine was corroded and didn’t move. So the last piece of the transmission cable was bended and broke finally. Luckily I am member of seahelp. They pulled me to the next harbour. Tomorrow I will get a new transmission cable. I should have known to lubricate this part regularly. You should have a look at it. It is quite hidden under the bed of the after cabin.
