We’ll, I guess it’s one more thing that could have been designed better. Now to figure out how I’m going to service the fridge that can’t be accessed without cutting something apart. Ugh.

im looking for the hatch on my early build 445
Is it on the aft panel of the tank, behind the pull out drawer?

After I fixed the gasket kink, mine seems to have been sealing.

Is the hatch located behind the pull out drawer?
Im struggling to locate it.

So, on my 458, I don’t have a pull out drawer on the forward cabin bed. My bed has a hinged front section. The whole aft section of the bed can be lifted up and is supported by large hinges with springs on each side which reveals a flat, wide storage area. The panel that you see in the photo at the top of this thread is on the bottom of this compartment. It just lifts off to reveal the water tank under the bed. There is a second access to the forward part of the water tank. When the mattress is removed, there is a larger panel that pulls up to reveal the forward part of the water tank and access to the bow thruster.

Good luck,
Mike

Yes thanks 32mike, we don't seem to be able to "fill" the tank. Last weekend I was filling the water tank and couldn't seem to ever see water to say yes we are full. Went below and there was fresh water throughout the bilge.  Time to check the inspection port!

Thanks for the post.

I had the same problem. Just bought a new o-ring on Amazon. We launch in about a month. I'll report back on how it worked.

My inspection cap seems to be holding. I haven’t had any leakage on the last two fill-ups. I now try to shut off the water before it gets completely full - around 95% on the tank monitor.
