4˝ years ago I started this thread:
https://www.myhanse.com/new-seacocks-thruhulls_topic10598_page1.html
I have a feeling, that the message from then needs to be repeated:
IF YOU SAIL IN SALT WATER, YOUR SEACOCKS MAY CRUMBLE AFTER 6-8 YEARS!
If you sail in brackish or fresh water, you may disregard this warning. Looking at the seacock from Peter, sailing the lakes in North Holland, shows no problems, but look at the picture of the seacock from the salty waters of Wemeldinge, also in the Netherlands, where disaster was very close. Also a picture from HPNielsen of Denmark shows a disaster waiting to happen.
If you still have not changed the seacocks (Hanse recommends inspection/change after 5 years), then read the old topic, and consider the matter.
