Found some marks on the cabinets, which indicates that water could be dripping through the chain plates.
But the cabinet around chain plates could not be opened nor inspected, only throuh loadspeaker hole ;(
Anybody find a way to inspect lower part of the chainplates, or cutting the wood anad installing the door is the only way?
Anybody already reseal chainplates?

Hey Cwetto
Can you post some pictures of the cabinets?
In the 545 the front panel of the cabinet under the speakers, is fixed with Keku snatch system , we can open it with the suction cups(for lifting the floorboards) from there you can inspect one side off the chainplate afterwards the bulkhead. For the other side of the bulkhead the same way , the panel of the waste tank in the front head, also with the suction cup we can remove the front panel. Till now we haven’t issue’s with leaks there.
I try to find pictures
I am not sure for the 540.

Can you check by the loudspeaker hole there are this kind of attachments on the big front inside the cabinet ?
if so, you have to cut the seals(ceiling, bottom and at the bulckhead) then you can take the front off by pulling  hard with 2 suction cups.
I hope this works for you.

I am starting to explore situation indside after we noticed black marks on outer side (visible on first picture below the hanging cabinet, caused by inside mold, water and dirt.

I had recently detected the chainplates were leaking both side of the living room The standing cabinets had to be taken out, the plates disconnected from the hull and all the complex taken out. Recaulcking and then all back in place. If u need pictures of what's going on I can send.

Dear Itamary, I have a corrosion issue visible from the outside of the boat (Hanse 495). My feeling is that I need to potentially remove the chian plate to really understand if there is corrosion on the inside side iof the plate. My question for you is: approximately how much was the cost of removing the chain plate from the hull. Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ariel
