I am wanting to add another floor hatch opposite Galley floor and just outside the toilet door.  Does anyone know if the floor can be laser cut or other method to reuse the cutout.  There is so much room wasted under the floor sole that can be utilised.  I have cut the floorboard covering the Keel bolts and using that area for the spare anchor chain and warp.   The other area I will be adding a starboard storage locker to is exactly opposite the Electrical locker.  There is a huge amount of room unused.

Having done further research with my boatbuilder I found that I can order a floor insert through Hanse and then cut out and Rout a rebate into the floor to give another floor opening same as the others.  He will also do the addtional locker.  Would have preferred a larger opening.

Hugh, you might consider using these flooring anchors. I've not fitted them myself, but have been on a boat where the boards were hinged on one side, and anchored down with them on the other, worked very well, particularly one board which had a gas lift strut fitted as well. A quick turn with a coin and the bilge was accessible, without then having the removed board sliding all over

Many thanks Syncro, I spotted them in the local chandlery catalogue but didnt know whether they were effective.  Will pursue them further.  I have cut the floor-board and already using the space as per photo.  Hinges are a problem and I have travelled many miles looking for teh perfet ones.  Talked out of table hinges as they evidently give problems if misaligned.   2nd warp , chain in sack and Dinghy bag with its warp, anchor, chain, and  dinghy  grab bag.
