Hi everybody i am new to the forum.
I order a 470e with generator and air condition since i am in the Med anybody with the same extras and if he/she is happy with the result.
Is the generator located at the back and not on top of the engine. Edited by ANDREAS CY - 16 November 2007 at 11:59 |

Hi
I also ordered a 470e with generator but no aircondition. So far I understud the generation is located in the lazarette as the waterheater is on top of the engine.

We own a 470 (www.sarabella.ch) with gen too but I would never in my dream install an ac although our boat is stationed in Croatia and this summer (our first one aboard) was extremely hot. The noise is just too big. I advise everybody to test that before you order! Our neighbouring 470 has one and really is not happy with it. Noise sensibility is very subjectiv especially during the night. Even the installation of the gen has a lot of pros and cons, also because it is a lot of space loss in the lazarette. I suggested Hanse to install the gen about 50cm to the BB side to gain space.
If I check the hours it was running this season I must admit it is not a must. If you go to a marina every third night for charging the batteries you won't need it. Only once this season we needed it for that purpose but rather because we forgot to switch off lights. By the way: start charging at 11.4 V !
Of course it's nice to have 220V with the gen but you can also install an inverter. My advise: only buy a Mastervolt (1000W for approx. 800 Euro or 2000W, 1600 Euro) and switch off the voltage control on the menu as it will stall. Edited by tobo - 17 November 2007 at 09:45 |

Thanks for the reply. Since i am in Cyprus and in summer it gets too hot an a/c is a must for me. Now you got me thinking if the a/c hanse provides is not good quality.
