I updated my Head Sail from the standard self tacker to a 140% Geona last year. I have a race this weekend and the wind is projected to be low (5 knots or less). Has anyone ever used their self tacker in a dual head sail configuration? If so, did it help and how did you mount it?

I don't think you can use both since they would fly from the same foil and there would not be sufficient air flow between them. For light air I added a used mylar/kevlar 150 which just futs if it is cut right. A good solution at a reasonable price.

Lukemi,
I've used the self tacker while racing but not in the way you're describing. As Silver mentions, it wouldn't work flying both from the same forestay foil. When the wind is very low (couple of knots) and seas were "lumpy" I found that my light air racing sail just flogs around and doesn't hold any shape (fairly light material). However, the stiff Dacron cruising sail does not suffer the same problem. Since it holds some shape, it tended to capture the light puffs and actually make some progress unlike the lighter sail....
