David 495, Congratultions! This new 495 looks awsome and so much better than e.g Bavaria 50... Where in Norway do you live? And when will you get it? Will you do the hometrip yourself or?

Hi David

Have you considered the new SIMRAD broardband radar, I am sailing a 470 and instaled the new rader as part of the purchase from Hanse, I must say I am very pleased with the result, instant disolay when switch on and only using a fraction of power compared with the "old" models, the ranges is as others + you can use the rader in the marina as well as it pick up targets within a few meters as well.

All the best with your new "toy"
Happy sailing

Thanks Niels - yes it's quite exciting spending Winter evenings getting the specs correct (especially colours, instruments and sail options), and tactfully telling Madam why she won't be getting a washing machine (but I have lost the battle of the dishwasher I fear)..... then getting logistics arranged (especially for non-airfreightable exploding liferafts and flares - which we may have to buy Greifswald) and booking multiple RYANAIRs as launch date is surely a variable.
Does anyone have advice on weatherfax options ?
David 495.

Dishwashing is a contract item and firmly in the hands if below deck crew Niels....... It cost me a Blue-Ray TV, and surround sound however.
We pay dearly to play at sea it seems.
