As mentioned the costs were little, I can not even remeber exactly and the labour and lifting was covered by the shipyard who did not attach it properly.

I can give you a rough breakdown and you can guess what it would cost in your area and if the workers would work so efficent.

4 workers, but not all all the time

Taking down sails and mast, hauling out and ripping of the keel 2 hours
Preparing base of keel to re attach 2 hours
Reattaching 2 hours
hardstand 3 days
lifting in and out
putting up the mast again around 1 hour

Material
Sikaflex and new washers

Additional I invested in a surveyor to supervise the work. I paid 500 Euro to him. It was werth every cent as he was well accepted by the shipyard and followed all his advises.
I would have been the stupid onwer in their eyes only. I am sure you guys know this attitude from people who, work on your boat but do not know 1% of what you know about the boat you are sitting and living on for months and years.

To measure the keel is a very detailed work with plenty of measurment points from the keel up to fix point on the hull. Not just a rope from here to there.
In my case the front part of the keel was centered but the back part went out of the centerline. The reason we found was that there is a kind of plastic ring going round the keel on the top. Sorry for the non technical term. This plastic ring was on one side only. When bolting the keel to the hull, one side of the keel got closer bolted to the hull than the other. This caused the unalighment.

Hope my explanation is good enough. If not I try again.

Hi   ScufSi    Luckily I have not had this problem But a friend with a Beneteau 50 had it.    You need a rigger to hang various weights from masthead ,spreaders ,etc and measure for alignment.  Same as keel malalignment.   measurements from various points on the hull to check keel is vertical..Must be done on hardstand to be accurate . Good luck  John

If the keel make the boat tilt 2 degrees, it must be easily measurable. I believe one person can do a quick check with a rope with a loop around the front end and up to one side and compare it to the other side. The difference must be more than a couple of millimeters, may be 5 cm? I agree you should check at rear too.
