    Posted: 04 October 2015 at 20:32
Buongiorno a tutti
Grazie a tutti.

ciao
Marco

I'm interested in the discussion regarding a Code 0 and would appreciate anyone translating for me.
Thanks.

Google translate actually works pretty well.  I was going to do it for you, but it doesn't paste well into this forum software.  However, you can copy and paste into the Google Translate site and get a very good approximation from Italian to English.

To silversailor: i'm asking if is it possible to apply a code zero on a 311/12/15, and mistral answered me that it is not possible due to the forestay being too close.

navax, thanks for the summary.  Why can't you mount a sprit (Selden) to fly the the Code Zero?

The problem with my sparcraft mast ocean series is that the exit of the spi halyard is too close to the forestay attachment.

The upper swivel get in touch with the halyard or jib rail. Also with a bowsprit.

See the photo.

Now I use a snuffer until I'll decide to make another halyard pulley a little upper.

Ciao

Can you move the halyard to the top of the Mast? Normally there are sheeves for a halyard. If not, add a sheeve and add another block inbetween the old halyard exit and the masttop so that the code 0 is not pulling from the top of your rig.

BTW your main shroud (Fitting of shells) looks misaligned.  Maybe its only the foto. But you may check it.
