If there must be an end to the season, then this would be the perfect end!

Thank you for sharing!

It´s that time of year... time to get out of the water. Sally was hoisted out last weekend and she now sits patiently awaiting spring to arrive.

Yay! Look what the postman brought today: A brand new Sprayhood and Cockpit tent. X-mas came early this year!

I am looking forward to next spring to see this thread grow with more stories and pictures. Maybe we will meet up somewhere next summer?

I take it you are based somewhere around Copenhagen?

Yes, the Copenhagen area is our playground. We tend to switch 'home port' depending on space availability etc.

Yesterday I finished painting and polishing... just in time before launch tomorrow. The 'to-do' list is still quite long, but as long as we are safe and seaworthy, we're good to go.

I needed to instal a new wind instrument. As I have decided to focus on running all boat data primarily on mobile devices, this neat product came to my attention.

Did you actually buy the anemometer? I am very curious to hear more about it.

Yes, I ordered it directly via the company in Spain and it was swiftly delivered via Fedex.

Install was straight forward - just downloaded the accompanying app and connected via Bluetooth.

So far I have only been testing the device in my home garden but first impression is very positive.

I wonder how you connect it to the rest of your system? In order to get True Wind you need to combine the wind data with the boat's speed.

There is a gateway available where you can share data via NMEA0183.

The unit itself has a number of sensors, including an accelerometer. I pressume that all these senors combined can calculate the difference between true and apparent wind.

Check out the manuals for more specific detailed info
