Thanks :-) The old one really needed to be replaced.

Today was 'one of those days' where the interior looked more like a toolshed rather than a boat saloon.

But I managed to get a few more check marks on my ever lasting to-do list. Coolbox spring-type hatch holder replaced; Toilet seat hinges replaced; 220V Power outlet frames replaced; Cockpit table installed; Backstay replaced with 'Dyna One'... then it started raining...

Here's a few pics:

The 'dirty' job... replacing toilet hinges.

Cockpit table in place. The 'quick release' system makes it a breeze to mount and remove when not in use.

Wit what did you replace the fridge / Cool box lid retainer spring, as I have been thinking of doing this but cannot find a better solution?
Cheers,

It was merely a 1:1 replacement. The broken spring was replaced by a new one. Nothing fancy I'm afraid ;-)

Thanks for letting me know.

I am surprised you had broken the spring as mine is very strong. The only reason I would like to replace mine is I keep catching it and the lid drops down on my arm.

Well, the spring itself was not the issue but rather the bracket attachment that had broken.

Im really curious about your cockpit table. How did you install it and what type of "quick release system" did you use?

Hi Heiko

I've used the Lewmar Universal Table Mounting Kit w/Quick Release (Product ID 89400420). It's no longer being produced by Lewmar so it can be a bit tricky to source it. I found it via a German dealer https://sailtec.de/startseite.html

The table is a standard teak table (non-Lewmar).

Did not know that Lewmar offers or has offered this part. Just ordered it from Sailtec Smile

Thanks a lot, I was really worrying how to make such a mounting on my own!

One thing that I really had been looking forward to this season was to install the sprayhood and cockpit tent. I'm not particularly overwhelmed by the looks of such a tent, but it's soooo practical when you cruise around in Scandinavia. Sorry for the cluttered photo, I just snapped it quickly as I was leaving the boat this afternoon.

The solution was manufactured by Swedish company 'Kapell & Annat' using Sunbrella 5087 'Flanelle Plus' fabric.
