Our 2016 345 Heads Basin Mixer Tap has been weeping around the swivel joints which I guess is down to hard water from the UK South Coast Marinas.  Normally this would be a simple thing to strip and clean, and potentially replace O ring seals.  However, disassembling the tap is currently defeating me.

I spoke to Inspiration Marine at the show and they recommended speaking to Penguin Engineering who were very helpful.  However, whilst my tap is very similar to the Barka MY1820 which they sell, it is not identical (see picture) and they suggest it may be a clone copy.  Penguin have never had problems with the Barka seals so could not advise how to strip it down.

I have removed the lever handle easily which exposes the ceramic cartridge, but have yet to (unscrew or lever?) the domed ferule which sits below the handle.

Advice please on how to strip the tap down to its component parts.

Thanks and BR

Paul

Hanse are normally using Reich water mixers. Maybe you could look through some caravan websites as these are normally used here.

Hi
A couple of years ago I had to replace the cartridge on my mixer tap - same design as yours. I identified it online and was able to purchase the component from the merchant. They're called grand taps. The reference was kitchen Sink Mixer Tap (56076) telephone No (UK) 01685 874344. Email contact@GrandTaps.co.uk. On the website there was also an exploded view. I seem to remember I needed to detach the tap from the counter top to be able to get at grub screws in order to dismantle the tap body.
