Despite owning Hanse(s) since 2015, I am not sure of how to run the German mainsheet through the blocks on the boom.  I have stripped all the running rigging for the winter.  Not sure if I should blame old age or the fact that my memory was always hopeless but at least when based at Greifswald there were plenty of other boats to give me some clues.
This is a question best answered with a picture as it is a little difficult to explain.  Just the blocks at the middle of the boom -.
My boat is 2021 458 but the arrangement seems to be shared between most models, at least with Selden rig.

Perfect.  Thanks.
It didn't look right being asymmetrical.

Aren't boats a mess when getting ready for the season.  I have boxes everywhere and keep losing my tools.
Should have launched today but this is Italy and the crane is broken.  "Maybe" Monday.

Where are you in Italy?

Were in Sta-Maria Leuca heading to Bari.

You are at least a month ahead of us!  Even assuming we launch next week.
I am in Cagliari where I spent the winter.  This was as far as I got last season after commissioning in the UK in June.  After a shakedown sail we will head to Sicily where we plan to spend at least a month.  I have my regular, long term crew joining us (in Sicily) at the end of June to get us to Croatia, potentially in three or four legs.
I love Italy and have really enjoyed Sardinia.
