Hi!
I'm looking to replace the hull anode on mounted on the starboard side of the hull.
Unfortunately I cannot find a site (preferably in Europe) where to buy a replacement anode.
Do anyone know a site?

The measurements are:
Lenght: 150mm
Width: 60mm
Hole distance: 80mm

https://www.awn.de/products/zn-rumpfanode-typ-15-1kg-515030?variant=31485122871431

Looks the Same. Important is only the distance between bolts.

What am I missing? What does a hull anode on a polyester ship do?

This anode is wired directly to the aluminum rudder post and it protects only the rudder post. The rudder post should be completely isolated from vessel ground so that no electrolysis can develop. Thus, the zinc will only deal with the aluminum in salt water. BTW, any copper based bottom paint should be kept at least a few centimeters away from the post.

My neither. It's not necessary on the 320.

Arcadia - I'm just looking at my boat there is an anode about 1/3 from the stern on the starboard side shaped like the one in the picture. It hasn't really been eaten away in the last 2 years - I've polished it up each year.

The rudder post is not showing any major signs of wear and I paint trilux 30cm around the rudder post on the hull and top of the rudder so there is no nearby copper AF.

I'm presuming then the anode is not really working as hard as the one on my saildrive which is replaced every year or two.

Is there a way to make sure that the anode is bonded to the rudder? Should I get a continuity test between the rudder post and the anode?

Thanks

James
