Hi All,
I have a Hanse 312 from 2005 and an IS-15 system and currently I'm not getting the depth (I’m getting “- -“ in the display).
I’m not sure if the problem is the transceiver or the depth transducer but at least I’m sure that the transducer is emitting a signal at 200KHz since I can hear the beat sound using a radio tuned in this frequency.
I did already a master reset and roblink reset. The communication test shows that no depth data is available in the system.
Anyone have any clue?
I didn’t find any label identifying the Airmar depth transducer model. I took the attached photos and the diameter is 51mm. It seems non retractable, so if the problem is the transducer I only can replace it out of the water.
Anyone knows which is the Armair depth transducer model that was intalled on Hanse 312 in 2005?
Best regards,
José Pires

I had a similar problem such as this last year. I traced all the connections with no conclusion. In the end I just went for a sail to think about it and it started working - I think I had weed covering the transducer which was confusing the system.

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply.
I hope you are right.
It was 3 weeks stopped at the marina. I have to go for a sail to see if starts working.

Interesting you hear it on the radio... because a sonar makes an acoustic wave, not an electromagnetic wave. You probably hear the spurious emission of the coils of the actuator, that is not the beam emitted by it!

The last time I cleared mine by using a bit of Astro Turf on lines and pulling across the bottom of the hull where the tranducer sits
