King's Cup Race Week Phuket Thailand

   We recently took part in the 33rd edition of the King's Cup Race Week off Kata Beach Phuket. There were 3 IRC classes and a mixture of Multihull, Cruising and Bareboat Charter classes, see www.kingscup.com for details. Hanse were reasonably well represented with a 575, our 415, a 400e and a 385 entered.Unusually for Thailand there was lots of wind with racing cancelled one day, the rest of the week had 10-25 knots with gusts of 30.
Night Train came first equal in the Cruising class on points but was 2nd overall on count back / tie break. The 385 won the Bareboat Charter B class.
