I’m sorry no one has responded but I believe almost all Hanse boats are delivered with a radio and speakers already wired.

I have installed a car radio in our 455 bought from repco , it came with two speakers & I purchased 2 water proof speakers from J-car $70.00 put in 2016 & still working fine radio also is a cd player & can play the television through the four speakers, there are cut outs for the speakers down stairs port & starboard the outside speakers one next to the manual bilge pump portside the other same location starboard where gas cylinders are. Running the wjire wasn't that hard.

The Fusion entertainment package is an expensive option on the Hanse spec sheet. On both my new boats I declined and fitted a Fusion RA70N at the chart table and two pairs of speakers, one for saloon and one for cockpit. Less than half the cost of the factory options.
Although I have heard others say that the speaker cables are present even if this option is not taken, I couldn't find any and ran my own. On the 458 I placed saloon speakers at the forward end of the settee, above the settee. The cockpit speakers are behind the wheels facing forward. I have never understood the standard Hanse location where they face towards the back of the boat, away from the cockpit area. The Fusion much more expensive than a car radio but I do like the N2K integration.

I have taken several cables, including quite thick solar panel cables, from starboard to port just aft of the bulkhead between the forecabin and the saloon. Getting the cable into the settee base should be relatively easy however crossing the hull to the opposite side is more of a challenge.
I removed the sliding stool for the dining table which allowed me to remove the floorboards. The settees have a recess at the base and I was able to drill a hole in the floorboard in a position that is not very visible. This gets the cable from the starboard settee base into the bilge area. There is a stringer (approximately where the aforementioned stool is located) which has a limber hole on one side and I had to drill a matching hole on the opposite side in order to pass the cables from starboard to port. Once across this stringer I took the cables forward again and was able to get them through the floorboards (I think I may have drilled another hidden hole here) adjacent to the forecabin/saloon bulkhead. [Edit: managed to find some pictures showing speaker locations.] ![]() ![]() Edited by S&J - 16 January 2023 at 10:27 |

Both sets of speakers are Fusion, although the saloon speakers do not need to be waterproof. The saloon speakers are MS-EL602 They came with the RA70N as a package. The cockpit speakers are MS-FR6021 which are their full marine product. Both are 6" diameter. As I commented earlier, Fusion are expensive. You can probably find less expensive speakers but the ones in the cockpit must be marine grade.

Our boat came from factory with very expensive Fusion package fitted ... a massively over-hyped load of cr@p! NMEA2000 integration is meaningless BTW.
Replaced with Blaupunkt car stereo ... same connectors then sold Fusion thing on eBay. Also fitted proper Blu-ray player for the television. Cheers.
