Has anyone ever considered to sheet/attach the main sheet on the coachroof of a Hanse 311/2/5? Either by installing a short traveller over the hatch cover (similar as on some of the 341/2) or with two u-bolts on each side of the hatch cover? The idea is to free the cockpit from the mainsheet enabling the installation of a large bimini for blue water cruising.

I can't
i have a nice roof cover
but i cfm, the mainsail sheet is a pblm to me
i have a wheel and the sheet always blocks in the table
i m thinking to buy a removable traveler
Not only those who wander are lost

I've learn that the best way to learn about people is to sail with them

Be careful, the boom is not specified to these loads in the middle!
