I'm looking for a maintenace guide for the rack and pinion steering system (Cobra?) as used on the 342 fitted with Lewmar Enguard pedestal. Any clues?

Thanks ;-)

Cheers
Nicolai

Hi Nicolai

Uhh - not much response on this question... hhhmm?

I would consult Jefa Steerings homepage. They should have maintenance manuals on rack & pinion steering systems.

Try this link

Thanks Ole Wink

Late last night I found the hardcopy version of the maintenance guide amongst my various boat documentations. It turns out that there really isn't a lot of maintenance to carry out on the Cobra 6 system.

Yep - the system should be virtually maintenance freeThumbs Up

I haven't touched any part of it at any time except when I changed the rudder, of course.
