I didn't. It's too thin over there to resist the force of the genoasheet in my opinion. So, decided to let the sheet run nearby the cockpit and use blocks on the aft.

This is exactly what I was thinking. When speaking to our boatbuilder, he says that reinforcements would be required to support such blocks...

Getting there. New HA ready, a grey membrame of Hagoort Sails in The Netherlands. With three vertical battens, telltales, camberstripes and a little window. Curious how this one performs.

And almost done. A triradial symmetrical spinnaker of 80m2 for downwind performance:

And a nice North Sails code 0/G1 for reaching with ligth air:

Does it work, all modifications? Well, it sure is fast:

One block ball bearing 60mm for the High Aspect genoa sheets, one block 70mm for the spinnaker or code 0, one 50mm block for the barberhaulers, one camcleat for the trimming of the genoa cars and one camcleat for the barberhauler trimline. The barberhauler block is mounted to the and the blocks for the spinnaker and genoasheets are mounted with dyneema on the

And the bowsprit is ready. Now lets try the G1 of North today. It's a all purpose gennaker, accroding to North, so, curious how it will perform on different wind angles.

Does anyone use a tackline for the bowsprit on the Hanse? I beleive the gennaker will be much better performing if not vast mounted on the bow, but with a tackline. Experiences from other owners?

We use a tack line and it definitely helps the deeper you go.

Used the tack line with and without the top down furling system and works for both
