Hello everyone. As expected the long cabin windows are leaking again. I used to reglue my cabin windows on new sika 2 times already, but this time, one of the windows (stbd front) has cracked vertically, so I need to replace at least 1 of them. I have already spent 3 months in desperate attempts to find this type (colour) of acryl in my country, but all these attempts were unfortunate. I  asked local Hanse dealer if they could help, they made a request at Hanse yard, but Hanse replied that don't have these windows at stock anymore (can this be true??)
Now I really don't know what to do...If I use an acryl of different colour, then I would have to change all windows, hatches and portlights on my boat which is a ridiculous expence of time and money...
I am pretty sure that owners of these boats still face the same problem and they occasionally change these dreaded windows. There must be a replacement somewhere.
I would greatly appreciate your help...

Windsurfer,

No sure where your are from but there seems to be a number of companies in the UK specialising in making replacement perspex or acrylic boat windows in various thicknesses and tints. Try  http://www.projectplastics.co.uk/boat-windows.html ; They also heat bend material to fit if required. I have not used this company but they sound like they can offer you an option. Maybe some of our UK based members have used them or another company they can recommend.

I am from Russia. I have already tried to contact a company in UK (eagleboatwindows.co.uk). They said that they do not work outside of Uk, nor deliver windows or materials...
I will try to contact Projectplastics, but I guess they will come up with the same answer...
Is it really such a unique material/colour installed by Hanse. Can't believe this(
Thank you for help....

That is a very interesting resourse, thank you Petersson! Although it might be a different colour, since my windows are somewhat pink (not black as they say) and they are 8mm (not 10), I will examine carefully, then possibly send them the photos of my windows...
It's strange that when I choose Hanse 320 , the site shows the big opening windows, while mine are simply glued on sika...were there any different options within 320 range?

Here are the photos of my windows, what colour is it? Is it Perspex? What colour? Any ideas?
Looks pretty much as this one, but I'm not sure...

All 4 of my 2008 H 370 windows leaked within the first 5 months.Caulking the windows didn't work for very long. All four had to be removed and re-glued. While removing the galley window the yard broke the window. Finding a replacement proved very difficult because these windows were produced in Japan, and were proprietary for Hanse. The windows were procured by Lewmar to Hanse specifications. The unique tint of these windows were exclusive to Hanse and this tint was never on the open market.

To make matters worse, the Japanese company was destroyed in the storm that destroyed the nuclear power plan. Unless Lewmar can provide you the specifications for the tint, you are faced with selecting a tint that on the outside matches the outside tint of your other windows. The inside tint has a slight reddish color and that's the propriety aspect that is peculiar to Hanse, and that is not available on the open market.

Even if you can get Lewmar to tell you the formula used in the original Hanse windows, the cost for making a special order window would be exorbitant.

All four of my windows look the same now on the outside. I'm the only one who can tell from the inside which is the replacement window.

The windows can crack for no reason. Sharp edges make a huge difference.
I would round all edges with sandpaper. Any holes should be rounded on the inside edge.

This makes a huge difference when you start bending the windows.

When they changed my windows on warranty, a window cracked two times.

Edit: The window cracked from a bolt hole when they mounted the small window.

Iív replaced my windows on my Dehler 36. If you search my site for Lewmar, youí find photos and videos on how Iíve to do it. Bear in mind, the windows look different from the ones above, but maybe it might help you.
