Gordon I was just running through the seacocks and wondering if you have looked at the engine raw water valve, can it be replaced with TruDesign too

David,

I can see no reason why the engine sea cock could not be changed, though I have no other mechanical work this haul out, so am delaying decisions about that one.

David,

Fitting of the true design through hull fittings has been completed.

Parts lists I provided earlier were OK, except that we could not fit the load collar on the holding tank dump valve, and used the standard handle, rather than the T handle that I had purchased.

True design valves are much easier to operate, which was one thing that we were trying to achieve.

saildrive seacock can also be replaced with Trudesign, OEM yanmar and Volvo ones are problematic and seize.

Truedesign dont make a male to male glass filled nylon fitting, in this photo i used a fitting made by Hansen who also make glass filled nylon fittings. Otherwise bronze tail in conjunction with Trudesign value would be fine.
