Hello 430 owners

I am replacing my stove. Can anyone confirm that the original stove is a 530 mm wide LT2 (Techimpex XL2 Cooker)?

Also, has anyone replaced with a force 10 model or other brand that fits the existing opening?

Thanks!

I ordered my 371 new without the stove, and installed a Force 10 two-burner with oven and broiler. Installation was straightforward, and the now 20 year old Force 10 is still in great shape. The broiler is fantastic for making open faced hot sandwiches.

Hi Grahame!

Thanks for the reply. I would much prefer a Force 10 over other brands. Im just not sure any will fit. Do you know if the same stove was specified for the 371 and the 430? I am on a 2009 430, but wont be able to take exact measures until early Dec.

Do you know the model number of your Force 10?

Hi!

We changed the stove on our 430. We wanted two have a two burner stove but had to go for a three burner as nothing else was available. this fits exactly and no need to modify the attachmnets.

This is what we ordered:  https://www.svb.de/de/eno-gasherd-le-gascogne-3-flammig.html" rel="nofollow - https://www.svb.de/de/eno-gasherd-le-gascogne-3-flammig.html

Guys;
for what its worth I have owned a H301 [2002] which had been fitted with a good quality Oven/hob/Grill, probably original. My current H315 [2007] had the original Oven fitted,  virtually unused. When I first used the oven I found it was such a basic [crude] design it had no thermostatic control of oven. We like to cook onboard! so this was not an option.
I replaced it with a good quality unit. On checking around many other German built yachts of this vintage  had same low grade non thermostatic ovens. Safety and quality of gas appliance on yacht is an important point.

Tiku and Perry, Thanks for the link and the advice! Important to get a really good quality, thermostatically controlled replacement but options are few given the dimension of the opening. Some refit may be required.

I will update here with the final solution and experience.

I believe my force 10 is a Euro Compact model. Force 10 has many sizes and I am sure one will fit. Don't forget mine is 20 years old so may not correspond to any currrent moidel. It does have an oven thermostat which works well.

As it turns out there have been very few dimensional changes to the Force ten models over time. And I really like the thermostatically controlled Force 10s and the quality. So I have just ordered the Euro sub compact. Have a feeling a few mods are required but I will post the outcome when done.

Thanks All!
