I am having  issues with erratic operation of an RMC 185 24 volt swing thruster. It appears that the problem is within the circuit board in the control box that is mounted on the thruster.
A replacement would have to be ordered from Europe and it will be quite expensive. Does anyone know have the schematic for the circuit board. Alternatively, can anyone suggest an economical source for the control box?

Thanks

Al

Hello Alger,

had an issue with the dropdown thruster ( mine is a MAX POWER) around a month ago - starboard thrust not working - and i had my electrician inspect it. It turns out that the control box and more importantly the circuit board controlling this item does not have any integrated circuits but (at least on my model)  is basically a group of six mechanical relays quite similar to automotive relays ( the electrician tells me) which provide through mechanical switching basic logic ( like the thruster is on only when the engine is on) and basic commands - up and down and port and starboard thrust.

We dismantled the board and he took it for inspection and all he is going to do is replace the defective relay with an identical one which costs relatively nothing from what he told me. Worth checking before biting the bullet!
