Dear members of the forum,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently facing an issue with my sailboat and I am seeking your guidance and expertise. Unfortunately, I have damaged the rudder, and I am in need of a diagram or plan to carry out repairs that align with the original specifications.

I have already reached out to JEFA, but they informed me that they are not the manufacturers of the rudder for this particular Hanse 461 model. Therefore, I am still searching for a reliable source that can provide me with the necessary information to carry out the repairs correctly.

I understand the importance of adhering to the original design and specifications to ensure the proper functioning and safety of my sailboat. Therefore, I am eager to acquire the necessary information or diagrams that will allow me to carry out the repairs in a manner that maintains the integrity of the initial design.

Furthermore, I am in need of specific replacement parts for the rudder, such as the bushings or bearings. If you are aware of reputable suppliers or manufacturers that specialize in sailboat rudder components, I kindly request your recommendations. Locating high-quality replacement parts that are compatible with the Hanse 461 rudder system is crucial to ensure the longevity and proper functioning of my sailboat.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. Your expertise and support are invaluable to me, and I look forward to your guidance on this matter.

Best regards

Hi

I would ask Jefa for a quote for a new rudder and 130mm GRP tube with selfalignig bearings.

I agree. By the time you acquire the materials and labor, as well as specifications and parts, it will cost about the same but with Jefa you will have new and more superior rudder in less time.

And upgrading to a new 130mm GRP tube and new RUD34 jefa rudder is possible, because I did it to my previous Hanse.

I asked to jefa prices , but I am living far away from the manufacturers and the cost of the sending will be certainly expensive too... that's alors why, I want to repare.
I dont find any scheme or plan yet. If some of you get that, i will really apreciate.

I dont know what is Boatoon, what should I try with it?

Thanks to all for your interest and tfor give me your opinion.

Hello
This is IMO the only specifications you can find about the Jefa rudder RUD 46 Hanse used on the 470 you will find it on the internet “Jefa rudders website” detailed info RUD 46
There’s a possibility the shaft for the Hanse 461-470 is different.
This was so with our RUD55 for Hanse 545/2010 but the dimensions of the rudder are the same.we recuperate the old shaft.
There’s no spec. you will find of the older versions Hanse used on the 461-470 ,and my experience with Hanse they will not give it to you even when they have it.Angry

By the way.
We lost(crackt) some 50cm off the bottom part when we are blocked between rocks.
There’s was no damage on the lower our upper bearings our the shaft.
It just cracked under the shaft, the lower part of the rudder is just GRP and foam . no shaft there.
We build a new one in Turkey and reused the original shaft.
