i would like to share some of our sucess in club racing on our 315 under club handicapping system(different handicaps are given by different events held by their respective clubs).

we had taken part in some local regattas and ended the season with a win in our major regatta. here are some highlights.

monsoon cup, last
2 passage races 20nm and 12nm wind was 3-7knts in flat water.

pisang race, 2nd ( a hanse 400 took part and came in 4th)
66nm race to a lighthouse in the straits of malacca) 10-12knots of wind in 1m chop.

rsyc regatta, 1st
135nm race to tioman island(south china sea) in 12-25knts of wind and 1-2m waves. 55nm round island race and 21nm coastal race.

wester circuit, 3rd
16nm and 12nm passage race/ 5windward leeward races. in 5-20knts of wind in flat water.

singapore straits regatta, 1st

Les, well done some impressive results but what happened in the monsoon cup.  What crew did you have?
As I say, well done.
Hopefully I will be participating in my first club races this year, have had my 301 for 2 seasons, and have moved up from Enterprises and lasers.

hi dave,

thanks.

hope you have much success and most importantly, fun in your forthcoming races.

the monsoon cup had no monsoon, what we had was 3-7knts of wind and a 2knt current which had some of us going backwards as well. it was the 2nd race that did us in as we were more than 30mins behind the winner...a mumm30 and was dnf'ed. we did not do well in the first race as well.

we sailed this race double handed. the admiral and i.

cheers
leslie
