This one is WhisperPower battery combiner WBL 160, its not emergency relay, it allows engine/house batteries to charge separately/together from the charging sources.

Thats right, for Li setup this needs to be replaced by Victron Cyrix-ct battery combiner, specs are close but this one can be shut down in case of overcharging, etc

Cheers!

You probably have a 85Ah starter battery that is only used for a few seconds before the engine starts and then the alternator recharges the starter battery.
Unless the starter battery is defective in some way I doubt that there would ever be a need to use a bridge to the domestic batteries.

Objection Stuart Ouch

AGM's unfortunately have a the "sudden death" failure mode. They might have started the engine in the morning as usual, but reject to deliver the power in the evening ( happened to me 4 years ago, when I was approching a harbor in gusty winds ).
Luckily I had rigged the override switch, a quick die below, push a button and engine was started with the additional power from the service battery.
Rigging a (long) jump start cable from starter might be an option, takes longer, has an inherent electrical risk and needs a 2nd person in cockpit to start the engine as companion way needs to be open to access starter batt, before disconnecting.

You can't go on with the flying poer cable connection, this unsafe installation needs disconnecting.

I do not know if this is standard, but we have a switch to join the house and starter batteries together, or to use the house to start the engine.  It is located in the port couch in the salon.  It is useful to have for that rare occasion when it is needed.  Which we did earlier this season. Our starter battery is tucked way up over the engine and is not easy to get to.
