Does anyone know what the thickness of the teak is from the factory for the teak deck?  Is there a way to measure it definitively?

Marc,

I don't know exactly but I think it would be about 7mm.

take out a little piece of sikaflex and you can measured it, just look out that you me&sured on the top of the bounding glue who is on the top of the GRP deck.
When I replaced the sikaflex after 10 years ( build  2010) there only left 5mm Max and 4 mm at the border of the corners.

how often do you sand your deck?  Why did you replace your calking?

I never have sand the teak in de past 10 years.
Only once lest year when I replaced the caulking
The sh…t SIKAFLEX were becoming sticky.
There is a topic about this on the forum.
When you do a search you will find it.
