There is one thing I don't understand: If Hanse emphasizes that this type brings more comfort then why do I have to enter the starboard rear cabin if I want to use the toilet, when I'm a guest in the port cabin? This is very intriguing, isn't it? Imagine at night if I have to go to the toilet. I must knock at the door of the other cabin "Sorry to come in, may I use your toilet"
Of course I can replace the bunk bed cabin with a second toilet-/shower unit but then I have the same number of cabins as on a smaller Hanse. Edited by tobo - 15 May 2013 at 21:51 |

Yes... Not well planned at all. Didn't even think of that when i looked at the plans but you are right.
They should at least switch the position of shower and toilet.

Tobo & Pearl,
I think on the 575 "standard" layout the stbd toilet/shower has two doors - one access from within the stbd cabin and one from outside the cabin. This toilet shower is not divided by a wall. I think the line on the drawing just shows where the shower door is when closed. So people from the other cabin can access the toilet and shower from the saloon side. The layout is probably good for family groups. Personally I think the standard layout has too many cabins and for us the right layout is the 3 cabin/3 ensuite version. With this version the port side ensiute is a good size as it replaces the bunk cabin. We do not want any more than 6 people onboard at any one time. For us our preference is really just 4 peolpe on board occasionally with just two most of the time as we will be liveaboard. If you want berth numbers people could opt for the 1 crew cabin, 4 double, one twin and a double in the saloon and 3 heads/3 showers. Strangely in this version, the stbd ensuite in the brochure the second door is missing. I gather this is probably a typo (mistake). The 575 seems to offer plenty of versions which should meet the needs of most buyers.

Hi Wayne,
It is no problem to enter one of the aft heads from the saloon to make it a "Day Heads". It is not shown on the original layout plans but I saw it at the yard a week or so ago.
Most things like this are possible so it is often just a matter of asking.
Kind regards
Phil
