Knut, I left the crappy sensor in place and drilled a new hole adjacent to the inspection fitting. The I used two wires of the existing cable to connect the new sensor it is simple resistance measurement.
Just connect these two wires to one of the resistance sensor junctionson the Würth panel and you are done.

well done, Frank! Very good memory.
The right sequence to enter the configuration menu (i.e. to ‘enable/disable’ items from the menu) is press in sequence and hold the three buttons (arrows up, down and enter). |

Knut, my boat is still on the hard 2 hrs away. So I hope to recall the procedure right from memory.
You have 3 button below the LED display: up, down, menu ( to switch to the levels ) The 1st menu tree has three different levels. Level 1 shows the sensor, Level 2min and max alarms, Level 3 is for setting the alarms Level 1 is the from top engine, service, bow, stern batteries Then follows fuel tank 1 and 2 Then folllows fresh water tank 1 and 3 Then follow a couple ( 3 or 4 ? ) pf grey and black water tanks Finally I think you can switch from German to English When you are on this menu level press and hold together ( here I am not so sure = a) up and down arrow simultaneously b) up, down and menu button simultaneously This will bring you to another level where you have the list of all sensors and you can enable/disable via the menu button each sensor. Finally you have only the list in the display of your enabled sensors ( in my case only engine, service and bow battery ). All tank sensors are wired to my Philippi tank monitor. Good Luck!

Can you explain to me how you removed this from the WE menu? I want to remove all tank levels and battery voltage if possible.
