We are back on the boat at last, rough plan to go north up the Turkish coast and then move into Greek waters and sail the northern Aegean.  Will spend the next few days settling in and making sure everything works

We are back on the water after 2 years!!!!!!!

A little shakedown sail from Kusadasi marina with S/Y Thetis after adding a new MDI to the volvo, we found our bad weather cups had lost t heir seals, but otherwise she is OK.  Towing our new tender to see how that works for bay hopping up the coast, super light for lifting on deck for longer passages.

Kusadasi marina is coming alive with people turning up and moving onto their boats.  The weather is getting better.  The big boat with the blue hull turned up and has been here for a couple of weeks, escaping sanctions.  The town is preparing for a bike race first stage ending tomorrow, which means closing the seafront road for a while.

For those considering Kusadasi marina, there are major works happening that will take a year or two, extensive re development, more shops and restaurants, a new pool, and so on.  It will be a bit dusty for that period and we will lose the on site shop, which is a nuisance for live aboards.   

We are here for a few more days and then setting off south for a week or so.
