Has anyone come up with a clever way of stopping water getting into the cockpit from the coachroof?
On the 445 water from rain or spray drains off the flush hatch area between the mast and cockpit into channels. There are 2 channels that then run past either side of the companionway and drain just aft of the wash boards and runs onto the cockpit floor. It then very annoyingly makes an otherwise very dry cockpit (with dodger/Bimini) very wet underfoot.
I’m amazed I haven’t found any comments about this on google. I also haven’t found a solution but would be very pleased to hear if anyone has.

I think we sail pretty hard and certainly get the occasional wave over the boat but you must be getting some monsters!  It is only very occasionally that we get water down these channels.
[Edit: No rain in the Med and our dinghy might shield the channels from the worst if the spray.]

We have same, stared at dribbling water many times thinking of solutions ... but learned to live with it! Be interested if there is a cure.

We have the same issues,  when we are sailing it doesn’t matter. However as live aboards when it’s raining the Bimini and Bimini conversion make the cockpit water tight in the marina apart from the annoying dribbles each side of the companionway which soak the cockpit floor when it’s raining hard.
My winter project list is to design and 3D print some small guttering the forces the water into the companionway drain where it’s supposed to go.  I will let you know how I get on.

Minibusdriver, it is so frustrating ...
I would be interested to read your plans on the routing and the drain etc, even before you 3D design the parts. I too have thought of a type of gutter or drain, but haven't come-up with anything worthwhile that wouldn't have been in the way or cause pooling water over time.Angry
