Ok, some other issues / questions with my "new to me" 2014 415:

I have both a bow water tank and the extra tank under the starboard settee.

My control panel only shows 1 tank (water tank #1) and reads 25% no matter what (full or empty).

I've read somewhere (I can't recall where) that there is a "reset" proceedure for the control panel, and that might be the first thing to try to resolve this.  Does anyone know that process?

If that doesn't exist / doesn't work, does anyone have any details on the tank measurement devices on these boats?  Are they mechanical floats or something else?  They look to have multiple wires coming from them (i.e. more than just a 2 wire resistance float).

Is there some process to get the 2nd tank to show up on the panel?  It has a level sensor and it looks connected, so is there a programming process on the panel that I need to run through?

Thanks
Simon

My tank sensor for tank 1 does show zero, even though when the sender is that low (eg at its limit of travel) there is about 25% left. I know it sounds stupid, but you have checked the sensor isn’t stuck :)

I installed and connected a tank 2 sender and had to set this up in the Wurth panel. You go into the main menu and just toggle “enable” from what I remember. I think I have the wurth instructions somewhere and will update when I’ve found them

Thank you.  I've tried to play with the panel, but I can't seem to do much more than set the alarm levels and toggle through the tanks (fuel and water 1).  I assume there is some special combination of key presses to get into some type of setup menu?

I have not opened the tank yet to even know what type of sensor it is.  Sounds like it's a mechanical float?

So I investigated, and my sensors are not floats at all.  They are a number (4 or 5) rods of different lengths than stick into the tank.

I need to investigate more, but that seems pretty "solid state".

The other thing that isn't obvious is the connections to the Wurth Panel.  Both tank 1 and 2 are connected, but when activated tank "1" shows 25% and tank "2" shows 100%.  The wires are labeled so I know which connector is for the bow tank and which is for the saloon tank.  One tank is totally empty, and one is totally full.  The wires say #1 is the bow tank and #2 is the Saloon tank.  So then are they swapped at the board?

So confusing!

I guess i'm going to start measuring the sensor itself.
