Hi to all, I just replaced the b&g wifi1 with a 4g router that has wifi too.
With my big surprise, the old gofree wifi of the boat was still active! I had realized that I always associated that wifi to wifi1, but I was obviously wrong :the wifi1 unit is shut down when the instruments are shut down, so it couldn't be the source. I started hunting the source, I know it is powered by the service switch of the service battery, but I can't find it! The server interface is vonets, and there is a vonets manual in the entertainment section of the boat documentation... Do you know where it is physically located?

I believe the access point you refer to is for the Fusion stereo system. Youíll find it hanging from the wire harness under the Fusion unit. Itís is a very small USB powered device. It allows WiFi control for a smart phone. Also note that the B and G WiFi 1 is an unneeded unit to the B and G system on 588ís.  The Zeus 3 units have their own built in WiFi for remote access.

I completely agree that wifi1 was completely useless... I found the vonets where you said!!! Frankly, I don't see the reason for wifi control of the fusion unit, bt is enough... I will now check what should I do with it, I don't like to have useless devices always consuming current, it's even outside the wurth fuses... Thanks arcadia!

Fyi: I had connected the vonets wifi router by ethernet on my 4g router, and now simply being connected to the 4g wifi I can access and control the fusion system. Of course, I could then switch off the vonets wifi...

This is much better : no reason to connect to a different wifi to control the fusion stereo...
