hi 
Windlass breaker issues !
I have tripped the black one behind the seat and still hear a click when remote switch pressed only no power to windlass 
Any ideas please

Maybe the battery got drained. It sounds like what happens in a car when the battery has enough juice to light the lights but not enough to crank the engine.

The click you are hearing is likely the DC control voltage for the windlass relay. The relay will work even if the power breaker is tripped, since it is a separate circuit.

thanks for the reply, lewmar suggested it might be the contactor which i think works the same as the contactors on my 3 phase machinery
so hopefully can resolve when i get back to the boat
